When Daniel and Gundi asked me to shoot their wedding about 12 months earlier, I initially declined, but you know what? Saying yes was the best decision I made that month! I had a fantastic day, celebrating their love and commitment to each other, spending time with their families overlooking the lovely Whangaruru Harbour. I can’t think of a more beautiful setting for a wedding that was all about family and friends. The reception was full of speeches that were real and true. No fluff, just laughing, loving, and a lot of poking fun! Gundi and Daniel – I wish you nothing but the very best. Keep loving, laughing and putting your own unique spin on your love – and remember, like Mr and Mrs S showed, the recipe for a long lasting love will be entirely of your own making – have a blast working out the best one for you!

The day dawned a little wet – well actually a lot wet, so I asked the weather gods to play nice and give us a dry sunset – which they did! Go them! Rose and Mark opted for sweet peek before the ceremony, to see each other for a little down time before they shared their ceremony with their guests. We had a little intimate shoot by the pool of the Heritage in Downtown Auckland which was a nice way to start their trip to the altar. Then it was off to Cheltenham for the main event. This is where I will let the pictures do the talking. It was a ceremony filled with their own personalities and quirks – just how all good ceremonies should be. The spectacularly dramatic sunset topped off a day that had been just the same!

One of favorite moments of the shoot was when (I know this might sound a little bad, but it as so so sweet!) when Danni decided that it was all too much and sank to the ground in tears. As everyone one watched on to see what would happen next, little Cassie wandered over and crouched down beside her sister and patted her hands. It worked a treat, and in no time, they were heading back across the grass, all happy again! It made me sigh and go *aaaawwww* for about the millionth time today!

It is my hope that in the future, Carina can look back at these images and remember what a special time it was. That 13 days after Riley entered their lives, she looked fabulous, was glowing from tip to toe and was already rocking it as a mum. Perhaps she will giggle at how Riley was very insistent that he likes his clothes ON at ALL TIMES thank you very much! I lost count of the times the words “aawww, you’re just too cute” passed my lips – but its true………………..check them out below!

I have to say, Jason you were a total trooper!  It was clear that you would rather be rotary spotting than standing in front of my camera, but full credit dude you did an awesome job, even in the face of me poking fun at you wherever possible!  Perhaps as a reward Helen will come through with those tickets to Meremere
